Vanessa Rodriguez is currently the Manager of Community Relations and Public Affairs for the New York Racing Association. Vanessa has been in the sports industry for 13 years. Her introduction in to sports began with the New York Yankees as the Manager of Latino Affairs in 2008. She transitioned into horseracing in 2016, working with local and regional non-profits, backstretch service providers, local leaders and elected officials.

Vanessa takes pride connecting and serving her community. She’s been able to share her journey with students at Harvard University and NYU. She’s been honored by Manhattan Times as the Women of Distinction, Honorary Chair – Women of Toys for Tots, Hispanic Heritage Month Leader Award, International Women of The Bronx Dominican Day Parade, Appreciation Award -from the US Secret Service amongst others.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication from Kean University in Union, New Jersey.

Vanessa proudest achievement is being the first person to graduate college from her family. Her family came to this country from the Dominican Republic in 1980’s and established themselves in New Jersey. Their most important achievement was to create a foundation for their family. She extremely family oriented and loves spending time with them. She looks forward to inspiring others in their journey and helping in any way she can.
